The Detroit Lions haven't yet begun training camp practices yet and rookie corner Terrion Arnold is already having a "welcome to the NFL" moment.
Arnold arrived with the rest of the Lions' rookies on Saturday, July 20, and had to go through a conditioning test. However, Arnold was surprised at the difficulty of it, even though he was in shape.
“That conditioning test was no joke,” Arnold revealed on TikTok. “These boys really trying to win a Super Bowl this year, I’ll tell y’all that. And I’m in shape.”
Also in the video, Arnold went on to ask some of his teammates their thoughts about the test. Quarterback Hendon Hooker and safety Kerby Joseph, who reported early, didn't exactly share Arnold's view on it, but fellow rookie Ennis Rakestraw did.

While Joseph is in the building early, veterans don't have to report to training camp until Tuesday, July 23. The Lions will hold their first practice the following day.
Ahead of his first season in the NFL, things appear to be going well with Arnold, who managed to get first-team reps on the boundary during the offseason program and, by all accounts, held his own while also making some plays.
Arnold is projected to start opposite Carlton Davis, who was acquired via trade before the Lions drafted Arnold in the first round after a trade up. He's no doubt the favorite for the No. 2 role, but he'll have to cement his status in training camp.
