With the 2024 NFL draft just a few days away, it's time for one last mock draft round-up for the Detroit Lions — and this one features a mock that has Detroit making a massive trade up in the first round.
In a recent mock draft from Pro Football Focus, the Lions trade all the way up from No. 29 to No. 15 to grab one of the best cornerbacks in year's class, Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.
The trade has the Lions giving up pick Nos. 29 and 61, and a 2025 third-round selection in exchange for the Indianapolis Colts' first-round pick and fourth-round (No. 117).
This would be quite the move for the Lions, and one that makes sense. Mitchell not only checks the box of the long-term solution Detroit needs on the outside, he'd also provide an immediate boost to the secondary in a season in which the Lions have Super Bowl aspirations — sign me up.
Now, the rest of our mock draft round-up for the Lions.
