Nearly one month after a health scare, Detroit Lions legend and Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders has provided an update that put all football fans at ease.
Sanders took to social media on Wednesday to thank everyone for their support and well wishes after he had a health scare related to his heart over Father's Day weekend last month.
More importantly, Sanders revealed he is doing well and that he has been cleared to resume his normal activities. He also took time out to remind everyone how important it is to prioritize their health.
"1st, I can't thank family, friends, & fans enough," he tweeted. "The outpouring of love & support over the past month has been incredibly humbling.
"I have been cleared to return to my normal activities & my next stop is Cleveland on 7/27 at the [National Sports Collectors Convention]. Let's all use this scare to prioritize our health."
