The Detroit Lions are now through two weeks of organized team activities and are set to take the next step in their offseason program when mandatory minicamp begins this week.
Up until this point, the offseason program has been voluntary, but things will change for mandatory minicamp, which will give us an idea of who hasn't been participating in OTAs as a result of injury or simply opting not to for whatever reason.
The Lions will begin mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 4, and it will run for three days straight through Thursday, June 6. As of this writing, it isn't clear which session will be open to the media, but there should be at least one.
After mandatory minicamp, the Lions will have three more sessions of voluntary OTAs. Here's a look at the remaining schedule:
Mandatory minicamp: June 4-6
OTA workouts: June 10-12
Once those final three practices of OTAs are completed, the Lions will have a month-plus off before training camp begins in late July.
