No Detroit Lions player has gotten off to a better start to training camp than wide receiver Jameson Williams, who routinely stood out over the first two days of practice before sitting out Day 3 because of personal reasons.
Williams did have a slight hiccup on Day 1, as he threw up multiples times early on in practice. However, Williams rebounded to have a big day, which included the third-year wideout reeling in the play of the day on a long touchdown pass.
"As long as he keeps making those plays, he can throw up all he wants," Campbell said, per Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network.

The Alabama product shined once again on Day 2 and continued to show he has made progress from where he was at this time in each of the past two years.
After being absent on Friday, Williams was back in action on Saturday for the fourth practice of training camp. And, upon taking the field, fans in attendance gave the Lions wide receiver a standing ovation that multiple beat writers noted.

Ahead of a crucial season in which the Lions are hoping he can take a big leap, Williams is picking up right where he left off when he was among the team's biggest standouts during the offseason program.
Aside from his showing so far this offseason, another reason for optimism for him comes from the fact that he's going to have a full offseason and normal start to the regular season for the first time in his career.
Ahead of his first season, Williams had to work his way back from a torn ACL suffered in college, which also led to him missing the first 11 games. In 2023, Williams missed the first four contests due to a gambling suspension.
When it comes to players around the league who are poised for breakout seasons in 2024, Williams is at the top of the list.
