Ever since the Detroit Lions hired Dan Campbell and he talked about biting kneecaps in his introductory press conference, rooting for the team has become trendy among those around the football landscape, and that has only become more true since the Lions became one of the best teams in the NFL.
Another thing that makes the Lions so likeable is the fact that they haven't been to a single Super Bowl in franchise history and have seen no shortage of struggles overall, garnering the label of loveable losers from those not in the fan base. That also makes Lions fans who have stuck through it all some of the most loyal in the NFL.
And we saw one of those fans on national television on Monday morning on the CBS game show, The Price is Right. The Lions fan, Darrell, was rocking a shirt that read "I liked the Lions before it was cool," which has to make every Lions fans smile.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Lions are in an unfamiliar position. After a 12-5 season and a trip to the NFC Championship Game, Detroit is considered one of the top contenders for a Super Bowl.
If you thought there were a lot of bandwagon fans now, it's going to get a lot worse if the Lions win the Big Game, although nobody will really care about that if Detroit finally captures that elusive title.
But just remember that Darrell was here before all that.
