Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell took to the podium for the first time in 2024 training camp and there was one very noticeable difference from the last time he addressed the media during the offseason program.
That noticeable difference was the size of Campbell's presser podium, which was an absolute unit. It was definitely taller and wider than the ones we've seen in the past — and by a lot.
Even Campbell, who is no small human being in his own right (he was 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds during his playing days), looked small in comparison to the podium, which could have its own zip code.
He immediately noticed how big the podium was upon getting up there.
"This is a huge podium," Campbell remarked.

Now, compare that with the podium the Lions used to have and you can see just how stark the differences are in height and width.

What questions do you have for coach?! pic.twitter.com/vOO6jZt5M6
Whether trolling or otherwise, this might be the team's response to Campbell's presser back in May, when the podium was very wobbly.
Dan Campbell's podium wobbled, and he joked he would fall with it.

Hey, we've got to protect the coach at all costs.
Shortly after the presser, the Lions announced they are signing the podium to a long-term deal to play offensive line. The podium will add some extra depth to the Lions' offseason roster during training camp.
