The Tom Brady roast on Sunday night has made it fashionable for players to roast their former teammates and Detroit Lions legend Calvin Johnson got in on the fun with his former quarterback, Matthew Stafford.
Johnson was a guest on Kay Adams' show "Up & Adams" and was asked for his opinion on how much longer Stafford, who is now with the Los Angeles Rams, can play as he enters his aged 36 season.
Johnson noted how Stafford is taking care of himself better than he did during his Lions days, when he was "a little chubby."
"I know he can still play," Johnson said. "How much does he have? He's looking better than he did when he played with us, he was a little chubby when he was playing with us. He's looking all slim now."
"He's definitely taking care of himself," Johnson added. "As long as you're getting taken care of and you're not hitting the ground too much, you really can play as long as you want, as long as you're taking care of your body, too. If his line is taking care of him, we'll see. If they're not taking care of him, he's not going to want to prolong his career there if he's not being taken care of by his offensive line."

Rumors have swirled in recent years about Stafford possibly hanging up his cleats, but that has not come to fruition and the Rams quarterback is set to play a 16th season in 2024.
How much longer he plays beyond that remains to be seen, though.
