Deshaun Watson isn't one to stir the pot. He's very positive with the media and community and doesn't go out of his way to create drama.
But he might not be fully on board with Fox Sports analyst Marcellus Wiley suggesting the Chiefs don't need to go get Jalen Ramsey in a trade with the Jaguars in order to knock off the Patriots for the AFC title.
Wiley said this on "Speak for Yourself" on Wednesday:
"You've got to (stand) pat in this situation," Wiley said. "One, you have to remember the reference point of last year, the AFC championship game when you went out there and lost a one-possession game to the New England Patriots, the Super Bowl champions. Your defense was second to last last year and this year, new defensive coordinator, you addressed it in terms of Frank Clark, Tyrann Mathieu, Bashaud Breeland, you got some new assets out there — 19th ranked already in two weeks."
He continued: "Rolling the dice and saying, 'No, let's poach our team of a first-round pick and a starter to bring in Jalen Ramsey,' who I remind you, despite the perception and the love for his game he was 24th ranked as a cornerback (by Pro Football Focus) last year coming out of the season. This year in two weeks, he’s already dropped to 89th ranked. So, if his trajectory is going south and your team's trajectory is going north, why is this a conversation?"
Watson saw Fox Sports tweet out video of Wiley saying this and chimed in.
"I don’t think I agree with this," Watson wrote on Twitter.

Now, Wiley said a lot so it's unclear exactly what Watson disagrees with — it could be him saying Ramsey is the 89th ranked cornerback or he could disagree with the fact that the Chiefs don't need Ramsey to beat the Patriots. Either way, Watson took the time to say something and that is news in and of itself.
Whatever he is saying in his disagreement, this much is for certain: the Texans were just held to 13 points by Ramsey and the Jaguars last week and DeAndre Hopkins — who was mostly guarded by Ramsey — was held to five catches for 40 yards and no touchdowns in that game. Watson is probably happy to not have to deal with the cornerback next week.
The Jaguars are reportedly asking for two first-round picks in return for Ramsey.
