Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is growing frustrated with the lack of progress on a long-term contract with the team, according to a report Tuesday.

NFL.com's Michael Silver reported there has been "no significant communication" between the two sides the past several weeks. The Raiders haven't reached out to Carr or his agent since the NFL Draft, and Carr's patience "is wearing thin," according to Silver.

The Raiders and Carr would like to have a deal done by training camp in July.

Carr, a second-round pick of Oakland in 2014, is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He is due to make $977,519 in 2017, according to Silver. After a stellar 2016 season, Carr could receive a contract that rivals those of some of the NFL's top quarterbacks. He threw for 3,937 yards, 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions before breaking his leg in Week 16.

In April, Carr told reporters he won't be thinking about his contract once training camp begins.

"Because once training camp starts, I won’t even answer my phone if it has to do with that," he said.

That still leaves more than two months between now and the start of camp to get a deal done, so there's no need for anyone to panic.
