If you like the old "revenge game" narrative, the Las Vegas Raiders will have a good one in 2024 when quarterback Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints host them for a game.
Carr signed with the Saints last offseason after what can best be described as a rough ending to his tenure with the Raiders that saw him get benched for the final few games after what was a disappointing 2022 campaign overall.
The Fresno State product, who did not face his old mates in his first season with the Saints, was recently asked by fans about his upcoming contest against the Raiders and star edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
Carr said he "cannot wait" to line up against his former team and even joked that he wants to punch Crosby and have the referees only catch the defensive end's retaliation afterwards.
"I am looking forward to it," Carr said. "I cannot wait. And, hopefully, I'm going to try to start a fight with (Crosby) and punch him and then have the ref only see him throw his punch back."

Well, that's certainly one way to approach things, although messing with a tough dude like Crosby on the football field isn't exactly a wise idea, friendship or not.
Crosby's reaction to Carr's funny video should be a good one.
