For each day Hopkins misses, he will be hit with a $40,000 fine.
Entering his fourth season in the NFL and with the Texans, Hopkins previously said he wanted to be paid "what he's worth." He is set to receive a base salary of $1 million this season.
The Texans have already exercised the wide receiver's fifth-year option for 2017, for which he would earn $7.9 million. Hopkins posted 111 catches, 1,521 yards and 11 TDs last season.
