The Bills have issued a series of tributes, including commemorative No. 3 patches and making Hamlin's portrait a fixture on the Highmark Stadium big screen. And some of their players are taking matters into their own hands — and hearts.

From Nyheim Hines' emotional kickoff return(s) for touchdowns in Week 18 to John Brown gifting his touchdown ball to the trainer credited with saving Hamlin's life, it's clear that there's one person on Buffalo players' minds as they look to capture the organization's first Lombardi Trophy.

Dawson Knox is no exception. The strapping tight has made sure to honor his teammate in recent weeks with a simple, but poignant, gesture. When Knox found the end zone against the Patriots in Week 18, he turned to the camera closest to him, put three fingers up and cupped his hands into a heart shape — a symbol clearly inspired by his teammate.

The message was loud and clear: Knox and company were with Hamlin. Hamlin was quite appreciative, as well, tweeting the following:

It's unclear whether Knox will keep the celebration going. After striking pay dirt against the Dolphins on Super Wild Card weekend, Knox opted against flashing the sign.

Still, given the significance of Buffalo's divisional round clash with Cincinnati — and the prospect of Hamlin potentially being on site for Sunday's game — perhaps he'll pull it out once more. Knox has caught touchdowns in five straight games, so it seems as if he'll have the opportunity to pull it off.
