Davante Adams on Packers' offense: There's nowhere to go but up image

Packers wide receiver Davante Adams believes the team will bounce back on offense.

Green Bay came away with a victory against the Bears in Chicago in Week 1 but only managed to score 10 points. Adams was asked at a press conference Wednesday about the team's performance in its first game under new coach Matt LaFleur.

"There's nowhere (to go) but up," Adams told reporters. "...We’ve got plenty of time. I try not to think about that — we’ve got time — because that tends to make people drag their feet. I’m an urgent guy. I like to get better quick. I like to see results fast.”

The 26-year-old caught four passes for 36 yards in the Packers' 10-3 win over Chicago.

“It’s no secret I’m a big part of this offense and how it moves,” Adams said. “If I’m not in a position where I can make a play … I’ll never complain and say I need the ball more, me-me-me. But I’m one of the ones who puts the ball in the end zone, and I like to do it a lot. It gets to me because I expect a lot from this offense with the personnel that we have.”

Adams, a two-time Pro Bowl player, has spent his entire six-year career with Green Bay. He recorded 1,386 receiving yards with 13 scores last season.

The Packers will host the Vikings on Sunday.
