Darrelle Revis was burned on and off the field Thursday, but the Jets cornerback called out one of his critics on social media — former New York sports star J.R. Smith.
The former Knick-turned NBA champion took to Twitter on Thursday after Bills receiver Marquise Goodwin burned Revis for an 84-yard touchdown.

Revis was torched in Week 1 by Bengals receiver A.J. Green for 12 catches, 180 yards and a touchdown, leading critics to call out the 31-year-old. But Revis fired back hardest against Smith.
@TheRealJRSmith still heading to Canton though. What about you??? 👀

The seven-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion is likely headed to the Hall of Fame, while Smith most certainly is not at this point. Revis could have taken another shot and mentioned Smith's lack of a current NBA contract, but decided to go a different route.

We both won ships. We both will go down in the history books. Just think its funny him saying that especially after we've crossed paths. ☺️

Smith furthered the conversation by trying to tell Revis to own up to the fact he got beat. Which is weird, considering Smith egged him on in the first place.
Don't be sensitive...Be better...Respect that someone got you an let that feeling remind you to not let it happen again. #ProToPro @Revis24

Revis will look to return to his island next Sunday as he shadows Chiefs wideout Jeremy Maclin in Kansas City.
