A small town in Western Pennsylvania has had a disproportionate impact on the sport of football.
When renowned cornerback Darrelle Revis is inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame on Saturday, he will become the third alumnus of Aliquippa High School (Pa.) to be awarded the honor. He will join fellow cornerback Ty Law and legendary tight end, head coach and broadcaster Mike Ditka as players who have made it from Aliquippa to the halls of Canton.
Of all the cities in America to lead the country in producing Hall of Fame football players, it just so happens to be a humble city outside of Pittsburgh, built on steel and coal.
Here's everything you need to know about the hometown and high school of the three NFL legends:

Darrelle Revis high school
Revis attended Aliquippa High School in Aliquippa, Pa. The small town of fewer than 10,000 people is situated on the Ohio River, about 18 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The school itself had an enrollment of just 405 students for the 2019-20 academic year.
Revis was a standout for the school's athletic teams, nicknamed the Quips. In football, he led his team to a 32-27 comeback win in the 2003 Pennsylvania Class AA State Championship by scoring five touchdowns. That includes three rushing scores, a punt return and a blocked field goal return. He was also a basketball star and led the Quips to back-to-back Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League championships.
After graduating in 2004, Revis stayed in Western Pennsylvania, choosing to play collegiately at Pitt. He went on to have a long and very successful NFL career with the Jets, Buccaneers, Patriots and Chiefs. He retired as a seven-time Pro Bowler, a four-time First-Team All-Pro and a Super Bowl 49 champion.
Aliquippa High School NFL Hall of Famers
Revis is now one of three Aliquippa alumni to be enshrined in Canton. He joins cornerback Ty Law (Class of 1992) and legendary tight end, coach and broadcaster Mike Ditka (Class of 1957). They were Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees in 2019 and 1988, respectively.
Law's 14-year NFL career included stints with the Patriots, Jets, Chiefs and Broncos. He was a three-time Super Bowl champion (36, 38 and 39, all with the Patriots), a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time First-Team All-Pro.
Revis received the news of his Hall of Fame induction from none other than Law himself:

Ditka, of course, needs no introduction. As a tight end, he suited up for the Bears, Eagles and Cowboys, winning one Super Bowl and one NFL Championship (before it merged with the AFL). He was a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time First-Team All-Pro.
As a head coach, he turned the Bears into a force to be reckoned with and ultimately won Super Bowl 20 with Chicago. He then retired from coaching and embarked on a long broadcasting career with several different networks.
