Dante Fowler shown on video of brawl between two women; Jaguars release statement image

A preseason knee injury forced Jacksonville rookie defensive lineman Dante Fowler to watch the action from the sidelines, a mentality that has carried over into his personal life.

In video obtained by TMZ, the former Florida star selected by the Jaguars with the 3rd pick in the 2015 NFL Draft can be seen standing idly by while two women — described by TMZ as his girlfriend and the mother of his child — wailed on each other in a violent brawl.

While it first appears as if Fowler intended on breaking up the fight, he instead acts as if he is a referee, and issues that wo women to continue fighting. The situation that led to the fight is unknown, and while Fowler was not directly involved in the physical altercation, the video will more than likely make its way to NFL league offices.

The incident is said to have taken place around 10 p.m. ET on Feb. 1 at a Florida apartment complex.

No police were called to the scene and no reports were filed, according to the report.

UPDATE: Both Fowler and the Jaguars organization were quick to release statements following the publication of the video.
