Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will be temporarily sidelined with a strained muscle in his throwing shoulder.
Prescott underwent an MRI that showed no structural damage to his shoulder, which is welcome news for Dallas, its coaches and its fans. The Cowboys will re-evaluate Prescott's shoulder on a day-to-day basis.

"I felt some soreness when making certain throws today, and I really decided not to push things too far," Prescott said after practice. "Better to be cautious and smart about it. I don't see this as any kind of serious setback. We'll treat it on a daily basis and I'll be fine."
The other QBs on Dallas' depth chart: Ben DiNucci, Cooper Rush and Garrett Gilbert, who all took snaps in Prescott's absence at practice.
Prescott was full bore at practice coming off his ankle injury, which is also good news for the Cowboys.
He signed a massive four-year, $160 million contract extension with Dallas this offseason.
