The Cowboys will summon a host of retread quarterbacks to their facility Tuesday to begin their search for a veteran to back up Brandon Weeden.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Matt Flynn, Christian Ponder, Josh Johnson and McLeod Bethel-Thompson all are scheduled to work out for the Cowboys two days after they lost starting quarterback Tony Romo for the majority of the season to a broken collarbone.

Romo's injury during a win over the Eagles on Sunday thrust Weeden into starting duties and left the Cowboys without a serviceable backup on their 53-man roster.
Flynn, 30, has seven regular-season starts to his name. He saw his most success in 2013 when he replaced Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers after Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone of his own. He has since bounced around the NFL, most recently in an abbreviated stint with the Jets during the 2015 preseason.
The 27-year-old Ponder, a first-round pick by the Vikings in 2011 out of Florida State, started 36 games in Minnesota from 2011-14. He was cut by the Raiders earlier this month.
Johnson was a fifth-round pick by the Buccaneers out of San Diego in 2008 and is 0-5 in his career as a starter. Bethel-Thompson went undrafted out of UCLA in 2011 and has since spent time on several practice squads, most recently with the Dolphins.
Fourth-year quarterback Kellen Moore could also be promoted from the Cowboys' practice squad, but that's about all the Cowboys have to work with, barring a bold trade.
There's also no sign of Tim Tebow just yet, much to the chagrin of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
