Things are getting real interesting in Dallas.
As the Cowboys gear up for a preseason game against the Rams on Saturday, notably absent Ezekiel Elliott has returned to the Lonestar State after his holdout/personal training camp in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The photos of Elliott below made their rounds online and gained heavy skepticism before WFAA reporter Mike Leslie confirmed it was indeed the star running back.

Maybe most notably in the report from Leslie is that Elliott’s training team flew back to Dallas with him, indicating this is more than a quick trip back home to run a few errands.
Leslie added both Elliott and the Cowboys are optimistic of reaching an agreement on a new contract soon.
Elliott has one year left on his rookie contract as well as a fifth-year team option.
Dallas opens its season Sept. 8 against the Giants.
