John Wall's Cowboys fandom tests loyalty of D.C. fans at FedEx image

Two of the NFL's most storied rivals have taken their fight right to John Wall's torso.

Washington area fans freaked out on Sunday afternoon when images started appearing on social media of Wall, the star and franchise cornerstone of the NBA's Wizards, on the sidelines at FedEx Field before the home team played the Cowboys ... wearing a vintage Emmitt Smith jersey.

Local fans were in an uproar; they replied with shock, trauma, rage or some combination of them all.

Their angst was further inflamed by a post from Melo Trimble, Marylands junior point guard, a native of the District's Maryland suburbs who graduated from high school in northern Virginia.

The Cowboys' Twitter account quickly caught onto the furor and responded.

Washington's account replied quickly themselves, with an undated photo of Wall showing a different team loyalty.

All of which, at the least, makes Wall's appearance at the upcoming start of Wizards' training camp more interesting.
