Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Nolan is feeling the heat in Dallas, and it has nothing to do with his squad's abysmal performance this season.
Nolan had to step away from his weekly news conference with reporters on Monday after accidentally rubbing Tabasco sauce in his left eye; he committed the painful mistake while discussing DeMarcus Lawrence.
"He's been active every week as far as, I think, disrupting the quarterback. He's escaped several times to do that," Nolan said. "Obviously, the frustration for him as well is — look, it's when he misses them. Whoop, excuse me. I got something in my eye. Just had some Tabasco on my finger that went into my eye. That's not good. Ugh. That's terrible, jeez. I'm sorry."

Chalk it up as another loss for the Dallas defense in 2020; It's on pace to be one of the worst in the league this season, ranking 27th in total defense (407.1 yards per game), last in rushing defense (178.3 ypg), last in scoring defense (34.7 points per game) and tied-for-last in takeaways (three).
Nolan, for the record, was able to return to the news conference after cleaning his eye.
"My eye feels a lot better," he said, "but it was burning."
