Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn't see the NFL taking any action against Ezekiel Elliott for an altercation that occurred at the Electric Daisy Carnival music festival.
"I think that the main thing is that I don't see anything that needs supporting," Jones told reporters Thursday, via The Dallas Morning News. "In terms of his status with us, (it) has not been impacted in any way. And frankly, I know how conscientious he has been in the offseason, and that's good enough. No, I don't see that having any consequences for us."
Elliott was handcuffed over the weekend in Las Vegas after shoving an event staffer, a TMZ Sports report stated.
He was seen arguing with his girlfriend in a parking lot around 3 a.m. local time. Although Elliott doesn't appear put his hands on her in the cellphone video obtained by TMZ, the report noted he did allegedly block her from walking away several times which is apparently when event staffers stepped in.
Elliott shoved one staffer backward and again to the ground. He eventually was handcuffed and escorted off the property after event security and Las Vegas Metro Police arrived.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said earlier in the week this would not have an impact on discussions surrounding Elliott's potential contract extension.
Elliott is due for a new deal after Dallas picked up the fifth-year option of his rookie contract last month.
