Week 16 of the NFL regular season features a matchup that will be pivotal in the race for the NFC East as the Cowboys take on the Eagles on Sunday.
Dallas (7-7) is coming off a dominant 44-21 win over the Rams as it moved back to .500 on the season. Philadelphia (7-7) topped Washington in Week 15 to keep its playoff hopes alive.
While both teams have identical records, the Cowboys hold the head-to-head tiebreaker which makes Sunday's game even more important for the Eagles as a loss would surely knock them out of playoff contention.

The Cowboys' season has been disappointing to say the least. A 3-0 start led many to peg Dallas as a Superbowl contender, but things soon fell off the rails. The Cowboys are just 4-7 since their undefeated start and have looked pedestrian at times. Coach Jason Garrett's job may very well be on the line if he isn't able to get Dallas back to the playoffs.
Philadelphia's season hasn't gone much better. The Eagles have been all over the place this season, with multiple losing streaks of at least two games. Philly also hasn't won more than two games in a row this season either. It doesn't help that the Eagles' receiving corps is all but depleted, leaving quarterback Carson Wentz to throw to below-average players at the position. If coach Doug Pederson's able to get this team to the postseason, it might just be his best coaching performance during his tenure in Philly.
