When there's nothing left to play for in terms of playoff aspirations, at least one team's quarterback can win some revenge with Dallas playing Cincinnati.
The Cowboys (3-9) have quickly trended towards misery since losing Dak Prescott and have lost six of their last seven games. Andy Dalton will get to start against his former team that he started for for nine seasons and owns numerous franchise passing records for. Dalton himself has had a chaotic season between missing time for injury and COVID-19. He did, however have a season-high 285 passing yards in Dallas' loss to Baltimore on Tuesday.
Cincinnati (2-9-1) is seemingly counting down the days until the season ends and quarterback Joe Burrow returns to health. Despite having to start Brandon Allen, the Bengals' offense may have a rare chance to score some points. The Bengals average the fourth fewest points in the league and have only score more than 10 points once in the last four games, but will be going against a Dallas team that has the worst scoring defense in the NFL that allows 32.8 points a game.
Thanks to Cincinnati's tie against the Eagles, rather than winning, the Bengals hold a half-game lead over Dallas for the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The winner of this game may actually be the loser.
