The Cowboys seem to have hit a snag in negotiations with star wide receiver Amari Cooper.
According to a report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, discussions surrounding a potential contract extension are "at a stalemate."
Despite this, Dallas is still confident a deal will get done — at some point, the report noted.
The Cowboys are not disappointed. They remain confident in getting a deal done at some point. But there has been no progress and nothing is imminent as the Cooper and his representatives continue to gauge the market. https://t.co/nLG2cEn65N

An earlier report said Cooper's demands were "shockingly high."
Cooper, who joined the Cowboys midseason in an October trade with the Raiders, is expected to make $13.9 million this season in the last year of his rookie contract.
During this year's NFL owners meeting vice president Stephen Jones vaguely addressed the negotiation process with Cooper and other potential free agents, including quarterback Dak Prescott.
"Each negotiation is in its own place," Jones said in March. "If we could get Dak done today, we would. If we could get Amari Cooper done today, we would. I wouldn't necessarily say one has to come before the other. We'll just see how each of those negotiations proceed."
The team seems to be keying in on Prescott, but will need to do the same for Cooper soon if the Cowboys want to keep their top wideout.
In just nine games, Cooper led Dallas with 725 yards on 53 catches. He recorded six touchdowns and averaged 80.6 receiving yards per game.
