The Indianapolis Colts are hosting Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy for an official top-30 visit ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Worthy is meeting with the Colts on Thursday where he will get a tour of the facilities, meet with coaches and front office executives and potentially break down some game film.
Worthy is one of the fastest-rising prospects throughout the entire draft process. He set the record for the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine when he ran it in 4.21 seconds.

Xavier Worthy meeting with Colts on official top-30 visit
His elite trait of game-breaking speed combined with early and consistent production throughout his career at Texas makes him an ideal draft target for the Colts, who are looking to get more explosive as Anthony Richardson enters his second season.

Where the Colts would draft him is the big question. He's considered a fringe first-round pick so maybe he would be a target if the Colts traded back from the No. 15 overall pick. It's unlikely he slips too far into the second round where the Colts hold the No. 46 pick.
Xavier Worthy college stats
Worthy broke out as a true freshman at Texas and consistently produced throughout his career as a main focal point of the offense during his three seasons with the Longhorns.
Year | Class | G | Rec | Rec. Yds | Rec. TD |
2021 | FR | 12 | 62 | 981 | 12 |
2022 | SO | 13 | 60 | 760 | 9 |
2023 | JR | 14 | 75 | 1,014 | 5 |

The Colts currently have a depth chart at wide receiver led by Michael Pittman Jr., who signed a three-year contract extension this offseason. They also have second-year receiver Josh Downs returning as the slot man while Alec Pierce enters his third season as the Z-receiver.
Worthy would figure to work both in the slot and on the outside as a speed Z option for the Colts, making him an intriguing target on Day 1 or Day 2 of the draft.
