The Indianapolis Colts removed veteran defensive tackle Raekwon Davis from the non-football illness list, the team announced Monday.
Davis has yet to make his debut with the Colts in either training camp or the preseason due to high blood pressure. He has passed his physical, though it remains to be seen how long he will need to get back into football shape.
Davis signed a two-year deal worth $14 million with the Colts in free agency this offseason to be the backup behind Grover Stewart.
It's a crucial role that plagued the Colts in 2023 and from the early showings in the preseason, filling that void will be a crucial endeavor once again.
In addition, the Colts signed free agent center Mike Panasiuk and linebacker Mike Smith Jr. to the roster. They also waived-injured guard Josh Sills and placed center Ryan Coll on the Reserve/Injured list with undisclosed injuries.
Sills will revert to the team's Reserve/Injured list if he clears waivers.
