The Indianapolis Colts were among the teams to host South Carolina wide receiver Xavier Legette for a top-30 visit ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In an interview with Justin Melo of The Draft Network, Legette mentioned the Colts as one of the teams he visited during the pre-draft process.

The Colts are going to be very much in the market to add a wide receiver in this draft class, especially considering how strong the crop of talent entering the league appears to be.

Legette didn't break out until his fifth season at South Carolina, but he did so in a massive way. After not recording more than 167 yards in a season from 2019-2022, Legette broke out for 71 receptions, 1,255 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023.

A projected Day 2 pick, Legette is an extremely athletic prospect. Built more like a running back at 6-foot-1 and 221 pounds, Legette ran a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash to go along with a 40-inch vertical and 10-foot-6-inch broad jump.

Even though he spent five seasons in college, Legette still needs time to develop a full route tree. He shows promise as an explosive athlete, but the team drafting him will need to spend time developing his nuance as a route runner.
