The Indianapolis Colts may have gotten a steal in second-round pick Adonai Mitchell.
After trading back to begin the second round, the Colts took a chance on an extremely high-upside prospect in Mitchell. He has the skill set to compete at the X-receiver spot with Alec Pierce right away, and many analysts thought he could've gone in the first round.
In the eyes of ESPN's Matt Miller, the Colts' addition of Mitchell was his favorite for any team in the second round when it comes to value.
Adonai Mitchell, WR, to the Colts (No. 52). My No. 19 player fell to No. 52, making for an exceptional overall value. Get excited, Colts fans. Mitchell has elite speed and great length at 6-foot-3, and he shows awesome concentration to snatch the ball out of the air. He excels on vertical routes and has the body control to track and adjust on the fly. With Anthony Richardson airing it out to him, the Colts' passing game is about to reach new heights.
Mitchell may have fallen due to unwarranted character concerns, an aspect of the pre-draft process that general manager Chris Ballard despises.

On the field, Mitchell can wain at all three levels. He has 4.34 speed with outstanding body control. He has an aggressive mindset when the ball is in the air, and he doesn't waste movement coming out of the route break.
With Mitchell, the Colts have a strong wide receiver room that includes Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce and Josh Downs. They are getting Ashton Dulin back from a torn ACL , and they used a fifth-round pick on speedy return man Anthony Gould.
The talent is all there for Mitchell and if he can put it together, the Colts may have gotten the steal of the draft.
