Colts sign star DT DeForest Buckner to contract extension
Buckner has been a major part of the Colts defense ever since general manager Chris Ballard traded the No. 13 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to acquire him.
During his four seasons with the Colts, Buckner has 32.5 sacks, 42 tackles for loss and 87 quarterback hits in 66 games (62 starts).
Buckner still had one year left on his contract, but this new deal will keep him wearing the horseshoe through the 2026 season.
