The Indianapolis Colts spent the offseason building around quarterback Anthony Richardson, and that likely will remain the focus in 2025 as well.
Despite the fact that it's incredibly early to begin talking about the 2025 NFL Draft, the grind doesn't stop for draft analysts simply because the summer months have arrived.
In the latest mock draft from Oliver Hodgkinson of Pro Football Network, the Colts added a major weapon to the offense using the No. 13 overall pick.
13) Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Indianapolis Colts were oft-touted as a potential landing spot for Brock Bowers this spring, and tight end remains a potential need for next April. In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Colston Loveland provides Anthony Richardson with another devastating pass-catching option.
The Michigan tight end may not have many challengers to his crown as the TE1 of this incoming crop.
While Colts fans may not be all that excited to see their team projected to pick in the top half of the draft, adding Loveland seems like an intriguing decision.
What the needs will look like in the 2025 offseason will be determined during the upcoming campaign, but Loveland has been generating some buzz early as one of the standout prospects in the 2025 class.
In 15 games during the 2024 season, the true sophomore broke out to the tune of 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns. Those are strong numbers for a sophomore tight end and even more impressive considering the lack of passing volume Michigan had in 2024.
We'll see what the upcoming season has in store, but Loveland is a prospect to keep in mind over the next few months.
