Colin Kaepernick is generating plenty of support for his national anthem protest, and it's starting to payoff at the cash register.
People siding with Kaepernick's stance on racial inequality and police brutality have taken to websites to purchase his jersey, and sales have reportedly soared. He holds the No. 1 spot for jerseys sold amongst NFL players, which is pretty impressive considering he's a backup quarterback now.

The news about Kaepernick's jersey sales have reached the 49ers quarterback, and he showed thanks on his Instagram account Wednesday, saying, "I wasn't expecting my jersey sales to jump to number one because of this, but it shows the people's belief that we can achieve justice and equality for ALL!"
Celebrities and other athletes have joined Kaepernick's protest, either by wearing his jersey or following his actions. Women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe kneeled during the anthem earlier this month and specifically stated Kaepernick as the reason why.
