When Cody Kessler went down with chest and ribs injuries Sunday against the Patriots, Browns fans shook their heads in disbelief as their fifth quarterback of the season stepped onto the field.
Luckily for them, Kessler will be able to start next week's game against the Titans, according to NFL.com.

Kessler's X-rays came back negative on Sunday, revealing no broken bones. Which means his ability to play will likely come down to his pain tolerance.
The injury occurred on a play that sums up Cleveland's winless season thus far: Kessler was planted into the grass by Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower, and the ball went rolling through the side of the end zone for a safety.
Despite the play, Kessler has been solid since being pressed into action. He has an 87.9 passer rating while throwing for 529 yards and two touchdowns. But really, anyone is better than Charlie Whitehurst, who is admittedly awesome off the field.
