Tyreek Hill will not face charges of child abuse.
The Johnson County, Missouri, district attorney announced Wednesday that neither Hill nor the mother of the Chiefs wide receiver's son will be charged with child abuse after an incident allegedly occurred in March.
However, the DA does believe a crime has been committed.

The case in question stems from an incident in March in which it was revealed that Hill was being investigated for child abuse. There was also a separate issue at the same house some time later in which there was a report of battery. Hill was not mentioned in that report.
It was later found out the alleged victim in the case was the son of Hill and Crystal Espinal, Hill's fiancee. The couple temporarily lost custody of the child last week while the case was ongoing.
The boy suffered a broken arm in the alleged incident, police said.
Hill released a statement Thursday morning via his attorney, who added that his client cooperated with law enforcement during the process and maintains he is "innocent of any crime."
"I love and support my family above anything," Hill's statement read. "My son's health and happiness is my number one priority. I want to thank the Kansas City Chiefs, my attorneys, my agent and my union for supporting me through this. My focus remains on working hard to be the best person for my family and our community I can be, and the bestp layer to help our team win."

The Chiefs released a statement saying they were aware of the investigation and Andy Reid addressed the issue last week as well.
“I know you're going to potentially ask about Tyreek,” Reid told reporters last week, via the Kansas City Star .
He continued: "I don't have anything further to tell you from the statement we put out. There's been no new news on it. I'm going to leave it at that. I have had a chance to say hello to him. I have done that."
Espinal is the same woman Hill reportedly choked and punched in 2014. He was arrested and dismissed from Oklahoma State's football team and eventually pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in August 2015. The incident was expunged from his record in August 2018 after he completed probation requirements.
After being kicked off of OSU's football team, the receiver transferred to West Alabama and was drafted in the fifth round by the Chiefs in 2016.
He is coming off of a year in which he caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns for Kansas City.
