The Chicago Bears held their third session of organized team activities on Thursday and it was open to the media. One player who did not draw a positive review was rookie quarterback and No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams.
According to Nicholas Moreano of CHGO Bears, Williams struggled mightily during the 7-on-7 period. He only connected on three passes and was almost intercepted on multiple occasions.
Moreano also noted that most of Williams' completions during the team period were in the flat and he held on to the ball for too long.
It is important to note, however, that wide receivers Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen were not present for either period, and Nate Davis and Darnell Wright were absent, also.
Really rough day for Caleb Williams and the starting offense. A lot of incomplete passes and near interceptions.

In the 7-on-7 period, Williams completed just three passes. Jaylon Johnson nearly had an interception over the middle of the field.

Veteran wide receiver DJ Moore touched on Williams' ability to bounce back and learn from his mistakes after practice.
"You could see the natural leadership is there. The natural arm talent is there," he said. "Even when he has a bad play, he's looking to learn real fast right after."
There will be plenty of overreaction to this review of Williams' day, especially from those who were on the "keep Justin Fields" train.
But it's far too early to panic off one bad practice in shorts and t-shirts. We have to remember that Williams is a rookie and there will be growing pains along the way. Not to mention, the Bears' defense is good. What's important is Williams learns from the bad days and continues to show improvement moving forward.
