Every know and then, the celebrity gossip world crosses paths with the sports world. It's not often, but it happens.

Today is one of those days. As if the reports of Aaron Rodgers' engagement to Olivia Munn were not enough, we now have evidence that suggests Colts' quarterback Charlie Whitehurst is seeing popular singer/songwriter Jewel.

Whitehurst, a Clemson alum, was spotted with the Grammy-nominated songstress at the College Football Playoff championship game in Glendale, Ari.

The text is in reference to the fact that Whitehurst spent offseason mincamp living in a cabin

Couple in the fact that Jewel posted several tweets during the season cheering on the man they call "Clipboard Jesus."

Whitehurst, a career backup, saw playing time during the last several weeks of the season after injuries to Andrew Luck and Matt Hasselbeck left the Colts with limited options. He finished the season having completed 16 of his 32 passing attempts for 150 yards. He threw one interception and did not throw any touchdowns.

This isn't just good for Whitehurst and Jewel. It's also good for folk music. While Whitehurst isn't a acclaimed musician, he was named as one of Nashville's most attractive people In 2014. That has to count for something.

They could be the next big power couple of folk music, unless fo course folk music already has a power couple. We don't know anything about folk music.
