Carson Palmer on Friday was fined $11,576 by the NFL for making a pelvic thrust motion during the Cardinals' 39-32 win over the Seahawks last weekend.

The Arizona quarterback was penalized for his thrust toward the stands as he celebrated a go-ahead fourth-quarter touchdown.

Palmer told ESPN the move was intended for some of his friends in the stands, not toward Seahawks fans.

"I had my buddies in the sideline, right four or five rows up," Palmer said. "I saw them pretty excited and (that) got me excited to see them excited."
