Carlos Hyde came up 12 yards short in his quest for his first 1,000-rushing yard season when he suffered a season-ending left knee injury in the San Francisco 49ers’ 22-21 win at the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
Hyde tore his MCL, ESPN reports, so he’ll finish the season with 988 yards and six touchdowns.

"It didn't feel that bad when it first happened,” said Hyde, who was able to walk off the field on his own. "It's pain, there's some pain, but it didn't feel like bad pain. I've felt worse."
Hyde had 38 rushing yards on 13 carries vs. the Rams, and also caught three passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.
There are two non-fantasy, non-gambling elements of significance when the 49ers host the Seahawks in Week 17: Since San Francisco is 2-13 and the Cleveland Browns are 1-14, it is not yet known which team will get rights to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
