Charlie Rose steals Cam Newton's swag, wears Versace pants on 'CBS This Morning' image

It was business up top and a party down bottom for Charlie Rose on Tuesday.

Inspired by Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, the popular television host wore a pair of flamboyant Versace pants on "CBS This Morning," and pulled it off almost as well as the MVP-to-be.

As he does most weeks, Newton turned heads when he boarded the Panthers' team plane Sunday, sporting the audacious pants, which retail for somewhere around $4,000. They soon became the talk of the Internet.

NFL Network personality and Hall of Famer Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, a pioneer among flashy football players, gifted Newton with another pair of colorful Versace pants at Opening Night on Monday.

The signal-caller then explained the thought process that preceded his fashion choice.

"It's Super Bowl 50," Newton told Sanders. "The mantra of the colors are black and gold. The black-and-gold attire that I had in my closet was extremely limited, so when I looked at my pants and I said, 'These are black and gold. These shoes are black and gold' to tie along with the whole Super Bowl 50 black and gold."

If the Panthers win the big game, Migos should do a remix of its 2013 hit "Versace" and allow fellow ATLien Newton and Rose to make cameos. They've already got the gear.
