Tim Tebow debuted his baseball skills to MLB teams Tuesday, and some NFL fans remain puzzled.
They wonder, for example, why Tebow would change sports. NFL teams liked Tebow as a player; they just didn't want to use him as a quarterback. A position change could have helped the former Heisman Trophy winner stay in the NFL, yet he refused.

Mark Dominik, who was the Buccaneers' general manager from 2009-13, tweeted Tuesday that he "begged" Tebow to play running back.
"I called & called agent Jimmy Sexton, begged him & Tim Tebow to come play H-back for the Bucs but it was always nome, only QB, now baseball," Dominik said.
Dominik said he wanted Tebow to play H-back, which shouldn't be confused with running back or halfback. The H-back is more related to a tight end and involves versatile duties like blocking and catching passes down the middle. The H-back sometimes can be called upon to run the ball, as well.

A Sports Illustrated report from 2013, after Tebow was cut by the Patriots, revealed the quarterback declined an offer from the CFL and USA Rugby. He said he would only return to the NFL as a quarterback, which he did briefly last season with the Eagles (although he didn't make the final roster).
