Many have high hopes for the Browns to actually have a winning season this year, especially after their crop of picks from the NFL Draft in Nashville this past weekend.

However, one Las Vegas sportsbook has them on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs.

According to the SuperBook at the Westgate Las Vegas, Cleveland has -120 odds of missing the postseason.

"It's a really tough division," SuperBook director John Murray told ESPN. "I think people are making a mistake if they write the Steelers off, the Ravens should be solid again and the Bengals can't help but be better with Marvin Lewis gone."

It's a surprise bet, considering the same sportsbook has the Browns as the slight favorite to win the AFC North with +140 odds. The Steelers come in second to with the division (+150) and the Ravens aren't too far behind (+300).

Cleveland also opened as a contender to win nine games this season (over -130, under +110). If that were the case, it would mark the first time since 2007 the Browns have had a winning season.

With the addition of Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry last year, the Browns posted a 7-8-1 record, a vast improvement over the previous two seasons, which saw the team win just one game.

Adding Greedy Williams from the draft and trading for Odell Beckham Jr. has many fans and NFL spectators positive that the Browns' bad luck finally has turned around.

Should the Browns make the postseason this year, it will be the first time since 2002 they have done so.
