The Browns (2-2) will be looking to get above .500 for the first time all season when they travel to face the 49ers (3-0), the last undefeated team in the NFC, on "Monday Night Football" (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN) to close Week 5.

This is the second time Cleveland will appear on MNF in five weeks, while San Francisco is getting its first prime-time shot after a surprisingly impressive start.

So far, the 49ers have beaten the Bengals and Steelers, so they are looking to make it 3-0 against the AFC North. The Browns can stay atop the AFC North ahead of the Ravens (3-2) with a win.

Here's everything to know about betting on Browns vs. 49ers, including updated odds, trends and our prediction for "Monday Night Football."

Betting odds for 'Monday Night Football'

The 49ers have held this steady advantage since winning going into their Week 4 bye. The Browns came through as underdogs straight up in Baltimore last week.

Browns vs. 49ers all-time series

The teams have met only 19 times over the years, with the Browns holding a 12-7 advantage. The Browns have won four of the past five meetings since '93, but they lost in San Francisco the last time they played there in '11.

Three trends to know

— 67 percent of bettors like the Browns on the money line to win straight up on the road.

— 61 percent of bettors like the point total to go over.

— The 49ers have begun 2-1 the season against the spread, routing both the Buccaneers and Bengals and then edging the Steelers late in their last game. The Browns beat the spread and won in their past two road games, but didn't cover and lost in their past two home games.

Three things to watch

OBJ vs. Sherman

The Browns will try to get Odell Beckham Jr. going again after he was quieted by Marlon Humphrey and the Ravens in Week 4, but he faces a physical matchup with another savvy cornerback, Richard Sherman. Sherman can do things to frustrated Beckham, including getting into his head a little. Baker Mayfield will be smart not to force balls to Beckham again and remember that the 49ers' No. 2 corner, Ahkello Witherspoon, isn't playing to take advantage of more open receivers.

The 49ers' wide receivers vs. the Browns' backup cornerbacks

Dante Pettis, Marquise Goodwin and Deebo Samuel don't get a lot of pub as an intriguing wide receiver trio but they can cause all kinds of size, speed, routes and toughness problems for a secondary that is set to be without hamstrung starting young corners Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams again. Jimmy Garoppolo should have some good matchups to exploit if he has time to throw.

Garrett vs. McGlinchey

The 49ers will be without long-time stalwart left Joe Staley, which will cause a few issues against Olivier Vernon. So it's imperative that on the other side, right tackle Mike McGlinchey can hold left end Myles Garrett in check in a battle of athletic first-round picks. The 49ers would like McGlinchey to hold up without help and a way to do that is try to wear down Garrett in the downhill running game.

Stat that matters

Garoppolo is 9-2 as the 49ers' starter. He's also 4-1 in night games and 4-0 starting against the AFC North. He's 12-2 at home during his career and has a stellar rating of 106.0 in those games.

Browns vs. 49ers prediction

The 49ers have the better line and are more well-designed offensively with Kyle Shanahan than the Browns are with Freddie Kitchens. San Francisco's defense also will be the better one with the emotional bump of prime time further powering its pass rush against Mayfield, while Garoppolo will be mostly comfortable.

49ers 27, Browns 20
