Browns' Terrelle Pryor admits to playing like garbage image

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrell Pryor has been arguably the only bright spot this season for the winless franchise.

The former college quarterback is on pace for his first 1,000-yard receiving season and has three 100-yard games in 2016. Last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, however, Pryor had one measly catch for three yards.

After the game, Bengals cornerback Adam Jones called Pryor “garbage” multiple times and even looked for him in a nearby trash can. Instead of firing back at Jones, Pryor agreed.

"He had the right,'' Pryor told reporters Wednesday (via Cleveland.com). "I was garbage that day. I had one catch, three yards. He was right. It was an accurate statement."

Pryor also said he “didn't do anything to help the team” in its 13th loss of the season. Despite his frustration and Jones’ insults, Pryor stays quiet and does his talking with his play — for the kids.

"I'm a role model to a lot of kids. I get a lot of messages, a lot of letters, hundreds of letters every week from kids and stuff like that,” he said. “I want to teach my son you don't win battles, you don't win games by talking.''
