LJ Scott's time with the Browns was very short.

Two days after signing with Cleveland, Scott was not in attendance for OTAs on Wednesday, and according to a report from WFMJ TV which cites a source close to the player, the running back has decided not to play football and has left the team.

The report is unconfirmed by the Browns, but another report from WKBN states Scott did leave the team and is contemplating his football future.

Scott went undrafted this season after several pundits had him as a potential early pick after three productive seasons at Michigan State.

However, he rushed for just 264 yards in five games with the Spartans last season and ultimately went undrafted.

He initially signed with the Ravens after the draft ended but wound up with the Browns on Monday.

The native of Youngstown, Ohio showed his excitement about signing with Cleveland on Twitter.

The Browns have an interesting running back situation heading into the year apart from Scott.

Cleveland signed Kareem Hunt in the offseason but he will miss the first eight games of the year due to suspension. They also have Duke Johnson on the roster but he has requested a trade.

The team does have stability with Nick Chubb, though, as he rushed for 996 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie in 2018.
