There have been many quarterbacks to come and go in Cleveland, and they've been documented on a jersey since 1999's first overall pick Tim Couch.

Couch was a great start for the jersey because he embodies the idea behind it. A hyped-up, thought-to-be-talented player comes in and only disappoints. The guys who came in after him (Ty Detmer, Spergon Wynn, and so on) didn't find success either, and an idea was born.

Tim Brokaw started the jersey and has displayed it outside of his Brokaw Inc. building in Cleveland for years. The jersey of failed quarterbacks had 24 names on it, the latest being Austin Davis, who started the final game of 2016 for Cleveland.

Now, it's all over. Not because Brokaw believes Robert Griffin III will finally end years of suffering for Browns fans, but because the heartache for the city of Cleveland is over. LeBron James delivered his promise and brought a title to Cleveland, which means it's the end of the jersey.

Bye bye bad juju. It's a new day in Cleveland. #RIPTheJersey

Will the Browns follow suit and deliver a Super Bowl to the city? Probably not.
