The Browns interviewed Patriots' defensive coordinator Matt Patricia on Saturday for their vacant head coaching position, the team confirmed.
Patricia, 41, became the fifth person to interview for the position. Dallas secondary coach Jerome Henderson, Jacksonville assistant head coach/offensive line coach Doug Marrone, Detroit defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Chicago offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who recently became the Dolphins head coach, are the others.

Having served as the Patriots' defensive coordinator since 2012, Patricia would bring unrivaled playoff experience to a team in desperate need of a good season. Patricia has been with the Patriots since 2004 serving different roles.
If the Browns decide Patricia's their guy, they will have to wait until the Patriots are eliminated from the postseason to make the hire.
