During the offseason, the Broncos decided not to retain quarterback Brock Osweiler, and that has turned out to be a very good call.
The Texans, however, went all in and gave the quarterback a $72 million deal with $37 million guaranteed in the first two years. In turn, Osweiler has provided horrible play, and looks like he shouldn't even be on the field. He is the only quarterback in NFL history to have three games in a single season with 200 passing yards or fewer with at least 40 attempts in each game, and we're not even at the midway point yet.

Trevor Siemian, the man Denver decided to go with instead, hasn't been spectacular, but he's done enough to get the Broncos some wins. So it's no surprise cornerback Aqib Talib is happy with the decision made by general manager John Elway.
“If you look at it overall, (Elway) saved a bunch of money," Talib told USA TODAY Sports. "And Trev is a great quarterback, man. He's better than Brock in my eyes. So it’s a win-win situation."
Elway said something similar himself earlier this season: “A lot of times those deals you don’t make are the best ones."
