Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell is a cheater, New York Jets star Brandon Marshall said before and after Sunday's 27-23 loss to Miami.
"He was exactly who I thought he was. He's a holder, he's a grabber. That's not how you play football," said Marshall, who said during the week that Maxwell held him on every play in a previous meeting last season when Maxwell was with the Eagles.

Maxwell did hold Sunday. He held Marshall to just 45 yards receiving, but was also flagged for two pass interference penalties on Marshall, who let reporters know after the game what trash talk he was spewing to Maxwell.
"Everything, everything. 'Stop holding, stop holding. You get paid way too much money to play like that,'" Marshall said. "He has to believe in himself, and he needs to practice. That's what I was saying."
Despite the trash talk and pushing and shoving during the game, Maxwell let the scoreboard do the talking.
The Dolphins are winners of their past three while New York has just three wins all season.
"'What you say don't matter. Let's go. There's nothing going to change. I'm going to be still here,'" Maxwell told reporters of Marshall. "He was really blowing hot air. Whatever."
