Christin Myles sued Marshall for at least $75,000 plus punitive damages, claiming that on March 11, 2012, Marshall — who played for the Dolphins at the time — gave her a painful black eye during a melee outside Manhattan nightclub Marquee.
Over two days of testimony earlier in the week, Myles said, among other things, that she was angry when she left the club early on a Sunday morning because an altercation in the club's VIP section — where her group was seated next to Marshall's group — had wrecked her birthday party.

Marshall, who was never criminally charged, countered in his testimony that he feared for his life as he fled the club after multiple fights broke out.
One juror, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told NJ.com that video evidence used in the case was insufficient to prove Marshall caused any injury, thus meaning no financial damages could be awarded Myles.
